Hallo,

letzte Nacht wurde the long awaited World first Xbox 360 backup firmware modification to boot all game backups veröffentlicht.



Für alle, die nicht wissen was das hier ist:

Es handelt sich hierbei um eine Firmware für das Toshiba-Samsung TS-H943 DVD-Rom Laufwerk einer XBox 360.
Diese Firmware erlaubt es, Backups (Sicherheitskopien) von XBox 1 sowie XBox 360 Games abzuspielen.

Um die Firmware auf das Laufwerk zu bekommen, muss man das DVD-Laufwerk in einen PC einbauen, dies ergibt einen Garantieverfall der Konsole!

Technical details

* Security sector must be extrated using Xtreme0800 360 firmware for Xbox360 games and Xbox 1 games
* Will not boot Xbox 1 backups made with Xbox1 605b 0800 firmware (maybe in future release)

Allerdings solltest du dazusagen das MS die Firmware durch Zwangsupdates von LIVE überschreiben kann ;)

Ich gehe eher davon aus, dass M$ modifizierte XBox360s von LIVE! ausschließt.
Genauso wie bei der alten XBox. Außerdem ist es kein wirklich großer akt das Firmwareupdate aufzuspielen.

Jo, aber Downgraden wird schwer werden weil normalerweise die Firmware das verweigert.

So, ein Firmware Hack für das Hitachi Laufwerk ist nun auch veröffentlicht worden.
Es stehen XBox 360 Besitzern also nichts mehr im Wege um Homebrew abzuspielen ;)
