Avatar Sequel Announcement Coming Soon 
It seems we can expect an announcement in the very near future about when our next trip to Pandora will be. Associated Press is reporting that director
James Cameron revealed Avatar 2 will take three years to make, a year and a half less than it took him to make Avatar.
Cameron, who was in South Korea to talk about 3D technology at the Seoul Digital Forum, said that
the release date for Avatar 2 should be announced in the next few months.
We reported last month that
Avatar 2 would likely delve into the vast oceans of Pandora 
. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any further details on Avatar 2 as soon as we have more information. Avatar has earned a record-breaking $2.71 billion at the global box office and they have sold nearly 20 million copies of the DVD thus far.
Avatar 2 is in development . The film is directed by James Cameron.
As it seems, the sequel is set to focus on the oceans of Pandora.
"We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That's not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system. And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story - not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film. I've already announced this, so I might as well say it:
Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment - a different setting within Pandora. And I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest. I'm not saying we won't see what we've already seen; we'll see more of that as well."
