James Horner

James Horner (* 14. August 1953 in Los Angeles, Kalifornien) ist ein US-amerikanischer Filmkomponist und als solcher zweifacher Oscar-Preisträger. Bekannt ist er vor allem für die Musik zu den Filmen Braveheart, Titanic und Avatar – Aufbruch nach Pandora. Horner komponiert in einem überwiegend der Tonalität verpflichteten Stil, wenngleich auch gelegentlich Elemente aus der Moderne und der Weltmusik Einzug finden.
